Chinese company ZTE has officially introduced a new gaming-oriented phone within its Nubia brand. It’s supposed to be a follow-up to the Red Magic model, and will eventually be known as “Nubia Red Magic Mars.” On the subject of attention, for example, web GSMArena.com.

Compared to the predecessor, several important changes have occurred, making the phone even more powerful – more or less expected of gaming-oriented devices.

While the original Red Magic smartphone offered only the older Snapdragon 835 chipset this year, the newer version boasts this year’s flagship of Qualcomm chipsets – the Snapdragon 845. The ICE chipset is complemented by a special ICE cooling with a pair of heat pipes. It will be paired with a maximum of 10 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash space – there is also an improvement. However, the base model will offer 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash. The display is a 6-inch Full HD + resolution.

The operating system is “Red Magic OS 1.6”, which is already based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Nubia Red Magic Mars also features a dedicated button for e-sports, and we also have a pair of touchpads on the side of the phone – these are buttons for easier game control. They offer a tactile feedback called “4D Shock”.

The phone also has a stereo 7.1 DTS stereo speaker. The battery has a solid (albeit not recordable) capacity of 3,800 mAh, with a specially designed back side with LED strip.

By the way, by the way, we find a 16-megapixel camera (f / 1.8) and a fingerprint reader, the front selfie camera is 8-megapixel.

A special Bluetooth driver with additional buttons can also be accessed as an optional accessory. There will also be a special “box” with a C-type USB port for charging, a 3.5mm audio jack and an integrated DAC converter. As an accessory, ZTE also wants to offer a headset with a microphone.

Nubia Red Magic Mars is to be offered in Meteorite Black and Flame Red colors and the top model in the special Camo color version.

While the base model should cost about 350 euros after recalculation, the top model with 10 GB RAM and 256 GB flush should exceed 500 euros.

Availability on the Slovak market is unclear, but for example the original model has been sold in Slovakia for a longer time.
